Decorating Dilemma....

Do you have a particular spot in your house that just bugs you? You know something's not right but you have thought and thought and thought about a solution only to come up empty handed? That's where I am with this wall...

Do you see the area to the left of the book shelf? While watching TV, I find myself staring over there thinking through how to bring in some color and/or decor while working around all those boxes. It's driving me crazy! I have thought about a canvas print with an open back that I could just slip over the top of the thermostat, but then wondered if I would get tired of taking it down every time I wanted to adjust the temp in the house. Ack!

I would love to hear any suggestions you may have!

Many Blessings,
M.

  1. OK, may sound strange but this is what I would suggest. :o)
My hub's made several of those wall panels. I showed them
on my bedroom redo as well as above my garden tub.
You can make them any size you wish out of plywood, then
frame the back of it with some wood trim. This will allow
it to fit over the thermostat. Then cover it with
a nice fabric. You could hang it right over the thermostat, and
still easily access it. Anyhoo.. just my thoughts. ;O)

  2. How about a small round table with a sweet lamp? I have MANY places in our little home that bug me. Our home is very small and VERY cluttered. We both have a difficult time letting go of stuff and that is really the only answer.

  3. I think a plant would look nice there; something tall-ish, real or artificial as you please. That way you'd still be able to reach the thermostat. Just my thoughts! :D
